We also isolated the one way clutch in its own chamber to ensure that is remains completely isolated from both moisture and debris. Over the last couple years, our company has grown from an idea to a up and coming competitor in the Fly Fishing Industry. When we started, we saw ourselves as a reel company and didn't really consider the addition of any other products. We wanted to make reels that were durable, stylish, and affordable so the average fisherman didn't have to compromise according to their budget. 

About a year after starting our company, we recognized that similar to reels, a quality fly rod was often too expensive for the average consumer. While there are many great affordable rods out there, pick up a $600-$900 rod and you can see and feel the difference. We knew we could design and build a high end fly rod with the look and feel of top rods at an accessible price point. The decision was made in the spring of 2014 to design our own fly rods. It is now two years later and our first rod is ready to hit the market.

"Come and Take it" is a fly-fishing documentary that follows a group of anglers as they experience the great regional fishing offered up by the Texas Hill Country and Gulf Coast. The film starts along the banks of the San Marcos River in search of Largemouth and Guadalupe Bass and transitions through the San Marcos and Guadalupe River watersheds down to the Gulf Coast where the group sets their sights on Redfish, Trout, Black Drum and anything else that will come and take their flies!

With the level of flooding in Texas in the last year, it was a long and hard fight to restore order along the riverbanks of the Texas Hill Country. On May 25, 2015 the Texas Hill country area was received massive amounts of rain, far more than its rivers and tributaries could handle. As a result many people were left without homes and select residents lost everything. With dramatic footage from the May and October floods, "COME AND TAKE IT" tells the story of life in Texas as a fly-fisherman. In the lone star state anglers are consistently challenged with unsavory conditions and are forced to be versatile in both tactics locations.

The crew in the film includes Chris Adams, Chris Long), Daniel Hughes, Josh Troell a few friends that tagged along for the ride. Battling mother nature, work schedules and of course, finicky fish, the crew pooled together for a successful, great fly-fishing experience; One that will last forever. 

Some Hill country residents were impacted by flooding in May and again in October. One man in particular Cody Swimmer, an outstanding citizen and extremely humble guy, was almost finished cleaning up from the memorial day flood when he was slammed again in in the Fall, suffering irreversible damage to his land and home.

1. The ESD Drag - ESD stands for Exterior Sealed Drag. The ESD is the first of it kind hybrid drag. It is a hybrid because it seals both the bearings and the clutch (the most common parts to fail in a drag), yet leaves the drag disk unsealed. This new drag system gives you many of the benefits of a sealed drag at the affordable price of an unsealed drag. The two main benefits of this drag system is protection from salt-water damage and slippage in cold weather environments. Our new ESD drag also features a large carbon fiber disk hidden under a protective cover. 

2. The Design - One of the key elements of a high performance reel is being fully machined from bar-stock aluminum. The Enigma is 100% machined from aerospace quality aluminum. This is a characteristic commonly found in reels four or five times the price of the Enigma. The Enigma is also fully anodized and extremely light weight.
