Fly Product + Fish Art...Limited Edition Andrea Larko Doodle Tarpon Hats

From a fun doodle sketch of a tarpon came a hat with some whimsy.

The patch is fully embroidered 4.5" long with an iron on backing and each patch has been ironed onto the hat and hand tacked into place, just in case the adhesive doesn't hold up over time.

These hats are limited edition and only 48 of them will be sold. Each hat is signed on the brim and numbered out of 48 with a permanent fabric marker that wont fade and can be washed without running or disappearing.

The hats are from Ouray Sportswear and are 100% cotton in a Blue Steel color with a snap back and a sweat band on the inside. They have a low profile and one size fits most. They're a great unisex fit.

Fish Art...Abel Reels X Andrea Larko

I'm telling you, if you don't have something that Andrea has made or is printed on, well, your pretty out of the loop. She's taken over the fly fishing art community in the last few years and I would venture to say, has placed herself among the elite such as Maddox, Martinez, Currier, and DeYoung. Her latest feature just so happens to be painted or etched into one of the world's most well-known reels...Abel. Yup...check it...

Andrea Larko X Abel Automatics

Yup, its happening. Per Andrea's Facbook page last night, she has paired up with Abel to bring you some of the most functional art in the sport. As things begin to roll out and zentangles, like the brown trout below, hit the aluminum, we will keep you posted. But for now, congratulations Andrea, well deserved friend!

Vedavoo's Coloring Contest

With another show of his creative genius, Scott Hunter of Vedavoo has yet again found his way into your household. This time, through your kids (if he hadn't already with his youth-targeted gearline). Vedavoo has partnered with the multi-talented Andrea Larko to come up with their first ever Coloring Contest!

Get your kids some fruit juice, sharpen their crayons, and fire up the printer...because this is bound to be fun.

We’re parents – and we’re committed to getting more kids excited about the sport of fly fishing. Partnering with Andrea Larko, we’ve been able to put together a fun project to kick of the year! Below, please find a selection of fish drawings Andrea did for this coloring contest – click the one you want, print it out – and give it to your little one to have them color! When done, please submit your entry using the instructions on the sheet. We’ll be picking a winner through our facebook account by the end of March – winners will get Vedavoo Kids Gear like our Best-in-Show Little Bugger Kid Sling (IFTD 2014). Good Luck!!!

This coloring contest isn't the only way Vedavoo has gotten kids involved in their brand as I said above. Some of you may remember iCAST/IFTD last July where the prize, Vedavoo's Little Bugger Sling, won its category in the "New Product Showcase". Be sure to show your support for Better American Gear by visiting Vedavoo's site, and giving them a follow/like/subscription on their Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, Youtube, and Instagram pages.

Simms Fishing Artist Series - Andrea Larko

We've had the privilege of featuring Andrea's amazing art before, and even had the privilege a few months ago of meeting her. When we heard of this, we were pretty stoked. We knew something was coming down the line but not quite sure what. The best part...there more to come! Congratulations Andrea, what an amazing accomplishment!

Here's the little sneak peek we were given via Andrea's Instagram...

And like I said...there's more to come and we cannot wait for this. Looks like our favorite artist has paired up with our favorite handmade gear. The sky's the limit at this point!

Fish Art: Andrea Larko's Limited Edition Bluegill Print

This isn't Andrea's first appearance on TLTFF. Her art is absolutely breathtaking, bringing fishing and fish art to a whole new level. Check out her latest print in support of the Bluegill and Year of the Bluegill...

Via Moldy Chum:

I just bought one for one of the hardest working guys in fish conservation Teeg Stouffer and his wife Amy, who welcomed their new son into the world just a couple of weeks ago. Teeg recently took slab of the month honors for a bluegill making this the perfect gift for the new nursery.
