Check it, the Rising Fish 38" Lunker Net will shortly have a spot on my Mako, most likely making its debut at CCA Maryland's 5th Annual RedTrout C&R Tournament. With that said, I figured I'd do a preface to the review and feature the net, showing those of you who haven't seen it before a chance to check it out.

The short story is that PVC is made softer by adding plasticizers, which leach out and cause the remaining PVC to harden just like your household plumbing and turn yellow. Dioxin, a carcinogen, is released in the manufacturing and disposal of PVC products.

The fact is that there are alternatives to using PVC in “rubber” net bags and we have recently introduced our eco-clear net bag in a size that will fit our Cutthroat and Gallatin models. This size in PVC is used by other net manufacturers and can be identified by having 15 top loops and being about 39” in circumference.

So here is the deal:

Send us your old net bag in this size (and only this size), regardless of manufacturer, and we will send you an eco-clear bag and Dacron cord for $12, post-paid in the USA only. Since our net bags have the identical number of top loops as the PVC bags replacing your net bag should be an easy task. We have a video on You Tube that gives clear instructions.
