Via Blue Halo: Just wanted to send everyone an update.  We have added a few items to our website -We have have added 2 new colors of backing. Blue and Purple.  Both look amazing with so many fly line and rod combination colors.

-We have also added Rod Tubes in all 3 sizes. It's hard to find tubes that fit fiberglass 3 piece rods.  Not anymore.

-Rod socks are also available for purchase both individually or if you want to save some money on a tube and sock combo that option is available also.

-Blue Halo reel seats for our 3,5 and 7 weights are also available to purchase.

We Still have seval rod blanks available.  They are selling out quickly, so grab then while they are available.  We hope to have most of our colors and sized back in stock by the end of October. Many of the hard to find colors and sizes of our built rods will be available again on the site before the end of the month.  We will send out a message when they are ready.

Blue Halo just released new fly lines last week that we've only seen glimpses of in photos on the site. With radical colors offered that match their great glass blanks, you cant go wrong with pairing this line up with one of their rods. And at only $29.95, you can go wrong just buying this anyway.

So far, two two-toned lines are offered, Blue/Teal and Red/White. Both lines are Weight Forward Floating fly lines with welded loops and are offered in 4wt-6wt.

Fly Product: Blue Halo Gear

Well, Cam (of TFM) beat me to it, said pretty much everything I have to say so I'll do a little C&P action to give you guys the rundown. Basically, like Cam, I've been following Blue Halo for about a year now, emailing them asking for updates and searching every medium I can to find clues and such of when the major release will be. Well, here they are, ready to go and jumping into the market at the perfect time! Although I LOVE my Allen reels, I will definitely have to give these guys a shot. Welcome Blue Halo!

For over the last year or so I have been patiently waiting to make this announcement and it's been really neat to watch Blue Halo Gear grow from an idea between a few friends to a full fledged company working through products in prototype stage to offering a colorful mix of fiberglass fly rod blanks and several fly reels on their recently launched website.

Currently Blue Halo Gear is only offering an 8' 5/6 weight glass blank but they are in prototype stages of several addition glass blanks and colors as well. 

From the Blue Halo Gear press release...

"We, as fellow obsessed fly fishermen want to introduce you to our fresh take on rods and reels.  Introducing for the first time in the history of the world (enter trumpet sounds)… Blue Halo Gear.

I have not had a chance to cast one of the Blue Halo Gear blanks but others that I trust have and say that they are a very nice blank for the money.  I look forward to their future additions and hopefully they will be sending a build or two for the T.F.M. Fly Rod Loan Program in the coming months.
