Fly Products...New Rambler Cap Options from YETI

RAMBLER BOTTLE CHUG CAP

Get to drinking faster with the Rambler Bottle Chug Cap. It just takes a quick half-twist of the TripleHaul™ Handle to open and then you’re good to go, making it easy to steal a sip without slowing down. Its classic spout allows for speedy gulps, plus it’s shatter-resistant and dishwasher safe, like the rest of the YETI Rambler accessories. And while your friends don’t need to chant “chug” as you drink from the Chug Cap, we certainly don’t think it hurts to add to the experience.

RAMBLER BOTTLE STRAW CAP

We simplified sipping with the Rambler Bottle Straw Cap. When you need some water (or whatever cold drink suits you), all you have to do is flip it open, take a sip, and close it tight to stay moving. It’s leak-resistant, easy to carry (thanks to the TripleHaul™ Handle), and has a wide straw opening so you get more drink with every sip. Wherever the wild takes you, the YETI Straw Cap for the Rambler Bottles makes it easy to sip without slowing down.

You can read more about the new series and see what other accessories you can snag for your Ramblers by clicking here. Both of these new caps are only $9.99.

Fly Product...YETI Rambler Bottles

YETI brought the legendary insulating power of their Rambler™ Tumblers into bottle form. The Rambler™ Bottle is a next-level insulated bottle, complete with double-wall vacuum insulation to keep drinks hot or cold for hours.

The No Sweat™ design and leakproof insulated cap keep condensation from collecting. The TripleHaul™ cap makes it easy to grab on-the-go and open up when you’re ready to wet your whistle. The 18/8 stainless steel construction stands up to even the toughest of conditions. And unlike narrow-mouthed drink bottles that are a hassle to fill or rinse, the Rambler™ Bottle features Over-the-Nose™ technology for easy loading, drinking, and cleaning.

In other words, the Rambler™ Bottle is the only insulated container for cold (or hot!) beverages that’s built for the wild.

It will come in three sizes, 18oz, 36oz, and 64oz. The pricing can be found below and the release is expected to be Spring 2016.

18oz - $39.99
36oz - $59.99
64oz - $89.99

Kickstarter + Fly Product + Fish Art...The Angler's Pint - Brown Trout

The Angler's Pint is a 21.5 ounce pint glass (larger than both an American & a British pint!) with one of Karen Talbot's scientific illustrations of a fish reproduced in full color on the glass. At the top of the glass, a fly rod (above a British crown and an American flag) whimsically boasts the Angler's Pint's superiority. In short, it is perfect for tall tales after a day on the water!

...and it's dishwasher-safe!

The first Angler's Pint featured a brook trout and was the result of a very successful Kickstarter campaign Karen launched last spring (she raised nearly $12,000 of my $4000 in just a month, and she subsequently sold out twice!). The Brook Trout Angler's Pint was followed by the Striped Bass Angler's Pint (my personal favorite, but I'm biased as a Chesapeake angler) and just this past week, she launched the Brown Trout Angler's Pint Kickstarter campaign.

If you pre-order through the campaign before November 2nd, you can get the Brown Trout Angler's Pint for as little as just $7 (suggested retail is $12). There is even a reward level where backers can send boxes of two wrapped Angler's Pints to four friends in time for Christmas.

Here's a link to the Brown Trout Angler's Pint Kickstarter campaign with a short video about the project:

If you have any interest in the Angler's Pint, or Karen Talbot's work as an artist and scientific illustrator, she would love the opportunity to answer any questions you might have. You can also find her and her art online at www.KarenTalbotArt.com, on Twitter and Facebook and be sure to check out her online store by clicking here.

This year's/weekend's Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival is definitely set to be the largest yet. Not sure if I will be able to make it with a few family obligations, but it will absolutely be worth the time, travel, and costs...I personally can promise that. Author and renowned fly fisherman, Beau Beasley runs and organizes the festival and I cannot say better things about his writing, organization as well as him as a person. Plus, wine and fly fishing, is there anything better...seriously?
