Earth Day April 22nd, 2015 Gunpowder River Clean Up
Join Great Feathers on Earth Day, Wednesday April 22nd for a day of trash clean up on the Gunpowder River.
- We will meet at Great Feathers (14824 York Rd. Sparks, MD) at 9 am.
- We will reconvene at Great Feathers around 2 pm to assess our trash total and have a beer if you would like.
- We will divide participants up into even numbered groups (two or four to a group, depending on how many participants we have)
- Each group will be assigned a section of river. For example, Group A takes Masemore Road upstream, while Group B takes Masemore Road downstream.
- PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CLOTH OR REUSABLE BAGS, if you forget your own bag we can provide a bag. (The point of bringing our own bag is to cut down on unneeded plastic bag use.)
- Bring water and snacks, bug-spray, and appropriate clothing to be outside for several hours.
